This was an extremely challenging week for me as I never show my SOOC photos. But here it is! A picture of my mom's kitten Galileo "helping" with a puzzle.
Week 1: Storytelling Rule of Thirds.
I used my kitty Sasha as the main subject, the story is that she is up on her perch watching her loyal subjects do their day to day activities. I always call her Princess and I'm pretty sure she believes me. This week was fun! I took a photo of my friend's son eating a cupcake I made. Not only is he a mess, the photo composition is messy too. Very grainy and not super focused, but still cute. I feel like it really captures his character.
This week I took a photo of my cat Sahsha eating breakfast. I got real up close and personal but she didn't seem to mind. This is a photo of her fur.
For this week's theme, I took a photo of houses on the hill in Dana Point, CA. I took this photo sitting on the beach.
This week's theme was Movement. I took a photo of a man surfing out at Dana Beach, California while my hubby and I were on vacation out there.
This week's theme was kind of a suprise shot. I was going to take a photo of my husband's electric guitar, but this thing came up before I did that. And I am glad it did. I was walking down the Boulder Creek Path and walked past this thing. I'm not really sure what it is or what it was used for back in the day. It looked like it might have been used for mining or a small rock quarry thing. I'm not sure. I think that's what makes it so interesting to me. It was once used for something, and now, all that's left is the ruins of a bygone time.
Usually a landscape photo is a lot of sky, long lines, and sweeping views; this week's challenge was to get a landscape close up and zoomed in. It was a lot of fun completing this challenge. Especially the flower photos where I got down on ground level and got some photos from a different perspective.
Week 13: High Key Portrait. This is my first attempt at High Key photography. Sahsha was my subject this week. Laying in the living room basking in the sunshine.
