Week 13: High Key Portrait. This is my first attempt at High Key photography. Sahsha was my subject this week. Laying in the living room basking in the sunshine.
This week's challenge was to take transportation to a unique and artistic level. I think I nailed the unique portion of it anyway. Also, I've been watching a lot of Xfiles lately...
This week's photography challenge was "reflection landscape" I chose to take a photo of one of my cat's with the reflection of outside in their eyes. My mom's cat, Galileo, was up for the task.Getting a decent photo of him was challenging, he's always on the move, unless of course he's asleep.
This week's challenge was to photography a person in their environment. I chose my mom in her natural environment: by the window, in the sunshine, reading a book. My mom is camera shy and getting her to let me take her photo was in itself a challenge! She proved to be a great subject for my portrait, however.
To do this week's artistic shadow, I used a couple of vases I had to create a colorful shadow instead of the typical black and white. I love to be creative and try new things with my photography, creating a colorful shadow photo was a great way to stretch my own imagination and try something new! I took this photo in the early morning when the sun was streaming into the living room window casting shadows through the blinds and onto the vases.
